The story
Slower Florida, on purpose.
Nature Coast Cottage sits in Lecanto, a small town on Florida's Gulf side where the springs run cold year-round and the manatees show up every winter. The house is set back off the road on its own patch of land, with a heated pool and a screened lanai that wraps it. Inside, everything's been thought through by an owner who actually stays here.
Four bedrooms, two baths, sleeps up to ten. Fully stocked: the good coffee maker, coffee itself, sugar, spices and oils in the pantry, and every hygiene basic in the bathrooms so you can pack lighter. Real linens on every bed, a soaking tub in the primary bath, and a screened lanai around a heated pool.
Outside, the backyard is LARGE and fenced. Room for kids, dogs, cornhole, or a couple of hours in a hammock. It's the kind of place where you'll cook one night, drive to Three Sisters Springs the next morning, be back at the pool by two, and drive to Disney the day after if you want to.
The house is also 100% solar with a whole-home battery backup and hurricane shutters on every opening. Reliable power, low footprint, storm-ready.
Booking over the holidays? We decorate the house for Christmas — tree, garland, lights on the lanai, the whole thing — so families arriving to a warm-weather holiday still get the feel of being home for the holidays. Everything you'd want on hand is already stocked: cocoa, coffee, a full pantry, extra blankets, a real kitchen for a proper family dinner. Just bring the people.
